The profile itself does not come back from the address. Pinterest does not publish the mapping, so a service showing you a board collection from an email alone has either guessed the handle or matched a breach corpus, and the difference matters.

How do you make your own Pinterest boards private?
Board by board, and the setting is not where most people look for it.
- Make boards secret. Edit each board and turn on the secret setting. Existing boards are not converted in bulk.
- Hide the profile from search engines. A separate privacy setting stops Pinterest publishing the profile to Google and the rest.
- Check the pins you saved to other people's shared boards. Those stay visible on the shared board regardless of your own settings.

Is a Pinterest lookup legal?
